CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

 

Bikram Yoga Method

Beginners/All Level

 

The Original Hot Yoga! This class is a 90 minute beginners yoga class includes 26 postures and 2 breathing exercises done in a heated room of 105 degrees with 40% humidity. These postures give you the basic "tools" to systematically work every part of the body, to give the internal organs, veins, tendons, ligaments and muscles everything they need to maintain optimum health and maximum function. Each component takes care of something different in the body, and yet they all work together synergistically, contributing to the success of every other one and extending the benefits. In one 90-minute Bikram Yoga class, you will work every muscle, tendon, joint, ligament, internal organ and gland while systematically moving fresh oxygenated blood to every part of the body. As a result, all systems of the body are restored and rejuvenated at a cellular level. Bikram Yoga is designed as a safe daily practice.

Bikram 60

Beginners/All Level, Abbreviated class

 

Bikram 60 is slightly abbreviated 60 minute class that will consist of all 26 postures and two breathing exercises done in 105 degrees with 40% humidity. During the 60 minute class, only one set of a few of the postures is performed.  While we absolutely encourage students to take the original 90 minute Bikram class to get the full benefits of the series, we're delighted to offer our shorter more time considerate version of our beloved sequence!

 

Bikram Plus

Hot Hatha Flow, Beginner to Intermediate. 

 

This 60 minute class is built upon the master core system of Bikram Yoga (26&2), and expanded to 52+ postures, including exercises and positions that help you build even more upper body strength and over all flexibilty. During this class Movement is synchronized to the breath creating fluidity and flow. Like vinyasa, the breath acts as an anchor to the movement as you flow from one pose to the next. The class will be practiced in a heated room of 105 degrees. This series will be a medium pace, set to an energizing soundtrack to fire up your day! A minimum of five regular (Full 90 minute) Bikram Yoga classes are suggested.

 

YIN YOGA

All Levels. Not Heated.

 

This 60 minute class, targets the connective tissues, such as the ligaments, bones, and the joints. This is a slow moving class with focus on opening the body organically through the use of breath and gravity. Done in low heat 80 degrees, with relaxing music.  The postures are held for approximately 2 minutes, which creates a myofacial release. This class is a perfect addition to your yoga practice! Whether you are ready to take your yoga practice to the next level, find even more stress relief, relieve chronic pain faster or get a dose of yoga for lunch, this class is your ticket!

Be on time. We begin and end on time. The doors will be locked once class begins, so we urge students to arrive at least 10 minutes before class starts; 20 minutes if it's your first class.
